I Made It!

Mom and Dad,

Letter to my parents (I was too lazy to write something new),

I just got internet access!! So, the plane ride from JKF was sooooo long and then Munich to Sofia made me want to punch someone but even if a face to punch was available, I didn't have the energy. The second we got to Sofia we got on a bus to some mountain resort that has been rented out for all 87 of us. We got straight to work despite the fact that I had been up for hours and hours. We are work-a-holics. Literally 12 hour days every day full of classes, training, interviews, exams, and presentations. And this is not going to end until Pre-Service Training (PST) is over in 11 weeks. This 4-day orientation is exhausting while at the same time very fun because, well, there are 87 people my age!!! I have met so many great people. Niki, my roommate, is a lot of fun and because we are in the same program we will most likely see each other a lot when we are in PST. There are a lot of other great people and I can't wait to get to know the volunteers that are already here (we already met a few!)

On Sunday, we meet our host family and go home with them. We will be in different villages surrounding V----- and travel there every day to have more ridiculously long days full of information and language training. I think the trick is to keep your head from exploding. If you do that, you're in! So far, my head has only been making an ominous buzzing noise which worries me a little but I still think I'm a long way off from it actually combusting. Cross your fingers.

Sometime after I meet my host family I will let you know all about it and maybe we can plan a time to Skype. So far, the internet usage is too sporatic to really plan anything. Just know that I am having a great time and I am really excited about what I am doing here. It's going to be a great experience and most definetely the hardest thing I have ever done. By far. I love you guys so much and already miss you. I honestly feel like one hug would make the buzzing go away. Pray for me. Love you!!! - Adrienne
